Capcom will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter with a collaboration with Puma on the 20th anniversary of the monster saga celebrated in 2024.
Monster Hunter, today one of Capcom’s most important and lucrative sagas, whose games are among the best-selling of the company, will celebrate 20 years in 2024.
The saga is unstoppable, with a new game on the horizon, Monster Hunter Wilds (scheduled for 2025). And meanwhile, Monster Hunter fans will be able to indulge in a collaboration with Puma.
The sportswear brand has signed with Capcom to produce a series of products inspired by the video game saga: clothing and/or sports shoes with motifs and characters from Monster Hunter, with new illustrations made specifically for the occasion.
For now, the collaboration has only been announced in Japan. They plan to release products with new illustrations during this year.
To celebrate, they have released a conceptual art of a Felyne riding on the Puma logo, but there will be many more new illustrations for Monster Hunter fans who want to refresh their wardrobe.
Monster Hunter Wild, the new game of the saga to celebrate 20 years
This is just one of the strategies with which Capcom plans to celebrate the twentieth anniversary. Although there won’t be new games, Monster Hunter Wild will be released in 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and this summer they promise to give out new updates.
The game will offer larger maps, livelier ecosystems, and more detailed creatures, in what would technically be Monster Hunter 6, counting Monster Hunter World and Monster Hunter Rise as the latest main installments.
We recently found out that Monster Hunter World, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, had sold 23 million units, being the best-selling game in Capcom’s history, a phenomenon that is already worldwide. Monster Hunter fans will have an entertaining year, even though the new game won’t be released until next year, we’ll see more collaborations of this type.
