Ethiopia Tadesse Memorial Fund (ETMF) was established by family members of Mrs. Ethiopia Tadesse and her Husband Mr. Bulcha Debosie in order to assist in the development of the country as well as to honor and remember the late Beloved Mrs. Ethiopia Tadesse. Mrs. Ethiopia Tadesse passed away at the age of 60 and interested members of her family decided to commemorate her life by contributing & serving the community in her name. Other than financing Jimma Times, ETMF recently began supporting the NGO New Life Teen Challenge Development Program (NLTCDP) which was established 10 years ago. ETMF also rewards excellence of students in Jimma University (JU) Engineering department by giving the annual Ethiopia Tadesse Memorial Award (ETMA) financial prize to top JU students. Mrs. Ethiopia Tadesse is survived by her husband Mr. Bulcha Debosie, her eight children and grand children. Born in a small village, with a humble background and compassion for people, she was a mother-figure to the general community and a deeply caring person for her children. Together with her husband Mr Bulcha, she successfully taught all her children thru Addis Ababa University as well as small colleges around Ethiopia. Mr. Bulcha is from Welega province while outside financial contributing members for the ETMF come from Arsi and Kaffa provinces. ETMA has ambitious plans to expand its philanthropic work by rewarding and motivating other Ethiopian college students inside Debub University and Mekele University in the future. JT also has plans to expand to other forms of media outlet in order to give its contribution to making of Oromia into one of the media centers of Africa.
