Team Ethiopia dominates Boston Marathon
Ethiopia's Teyba Erkesso won the 114th Boston Marathon in the women's race as team Ethiopia took silver and bronze at the Men's race on Monday. The Arsi-Oromia native Teyba Erkesso finished the marathon in a time of 2:26:11.
In the Men's section, Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot of Kenya finished first, followed by Ethiopians Tekeste Kebede (2:07:25) and Deriba Merga (2:08:39). Deriba was the 2009 champion.
Teyba Erkesso led most of the way during the race and she took the $150,000 first place prize. Tekeste Kebede took $75,000 in winnings while Deriba earned $40,000
