Meles says aid was not diverted by TPLF

The Prime Minister of Ethiopia has stepped into the row between Sir Bob Geldof and the BBC which has claimed that 95 per cent of the $100m aid raised, by Live Aid and others, to fight famine in rebel-held northern Ethiopia in 1985 was diverted to be spent on weapons. "We captured large amounts of guns and tanks. We did not need to buy arms. What we needed was food. So why would we sell food to buy arms?" Mr Meles said.

Confiremation PM statement
AT the specified time i was one of the captive of x-military Derege regime but i observed that TPLF has problem with Guns as most the sourse weapons were military. The PM was right i am a witness that so many people from Tigray have saved their life because of this donation. Please think like that time TPLF was one who symbotize with public. The BBC report may fabiricated from Shiabe given to the Journalist a bribe to defame the Hero TPLFE. because the caputred during but they treatement like their brothers.They gave us and tea before they eat.They desreve prise rather than defamation.

Zenawis statement is just part of his habitual lie. We know he is a father of falsehood and a robber. We will never ever have liar leader like this banda,,,,he didn't deny the facts alleged by BBC but simply dance around the bush,,,shame on this leba!!!!!
