A Libyan Presidential guard, middle, and Ugandan Presidential guards are involved in an argument at the opening of the African Union summit Sunday, July 25, 2010
KAMPALA, UGANDA - There was drama in Kampala, as Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's Presidential guards were involved in fist-fight with Ugandan Presidential guards in a huge argument at the opening of the African Union summit Sunday, July 25, 2010.
It is believed Uganda is privately accusing Gaddafi for recent terrorism attacks in which two suicide bomb killed 76 people as they watched the World Cup final in Kampala.
So Ugandan Presidential guards didn't want Gaddafi's guards closer to African Heads of State at the Summit as a security precaution, but Gaddafi's sidekicks were having none of it and as a result a huge row errupted.
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has been at the fore front rejecting Gaddafi's audacious call for United Africa which is said to be a plan to spread Islam in Africa.
The Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has also made controversial remarks calling for Nigeria to be divided, and some in Nigeria have fingered him the recent violence between Christians and Moslems which have left hundreds dead. (Zimbabwe Mail)
Gaddafi slaps aide as he is led to wrong meeting room at summit
Libyan leader, Muammar Gadaffi, yesterday caused a scene at the African Heads of State Summit in Speke Resort, Munyonyo near Kampala when he slapped one of his aides for taking him to a wrong venue of the meeting.
He was supposed to go to Meera Hall where other presidents were waiting to start a meeting but his protocol people led him to Victoria Hall.
Colonel Gadaffi came riding across the extensive grounds of the plush resort on an electronic-powered cart as has become the normal means of conveyance for some of the leaders.
He then climbed the staircase leading to the hall but midway a presidential guard told his aides that they were taking him to a wrong venue.
He turned to his aide and they started talking in Arabic before slapped him twice on both cheeks.
His guards shielded him from journalists who were hurrying to take this picture.
He later rode back on the cart with his burly guards and Uganda presidential guards surrounding him.
One hour later, he returned and entered the meeting where presidents were discussing the theme of the summit; maternal, infant, child health and development.
The Libyan leader’s bodyguards then engaged in yet another round of pushing and shoving —– as they had done on Sunday — as he entered the hall. Hardly 30 minutes later, he strode out of the meeting, picked a plastic chair and sat in the gardens where he told his aides to call Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete.
He then told his aides to prepare him tea on a charcoal stove, commonly known as sigiri.
“What is this man doing?” said a delegate from South Africa as many delegates crowded to see what was going.
His presence attracted the attention of delegates and journalists who started taking his picture before he angrily lifted the chair and hid amongst the flowers.
Ugandan presidential security and Gaddafi’s guards threw a security ring around the gardens as all this was taking place.
as we see all african pre. or priminsters are crazy mother fuckers and blood suckers all they know fill they pocket with the money african ppl. starve.
Black King: Evangelicals motto is give your right cheek when they slap your left cheek. How can a religion like that be source of conflict? This just shows your blind hatred for the Gospel.
By the way, is the state of Palestine part of the union? I thought it is from middle east.
Gadafi must have some mental disorder. I am sure he does have some sort of such problem. He is also trying to sell as the "king" of all Africans. Pathetic.
What is this Ugandan and Gaddafi's theater?Uganda said that the blast in that country was carried out by Al Shabab of Somalia and Al Shabab itself officially claimed responsibility itself.
Why now out of the blues turn around and accuse Gaddafi, a fellow African leader and a member of the AU? How can Ugandans in their own country treat an African leader in such a disgraceful savage and barbarian style totally undiplomatic manners never been heard even in medieval times? Hmm...
let me first inform you that Uganda doesnot privately blame Libya, nor its president for the July 11 bomb blasts in Kampala. wherever you got that information, its false and unjustifiable. the reason the Ugandan Presidential Guard brigade refused extra Libyan guards was because they didnot want an excess of firearms than necessary in the conference venues. this was for the general security reasons that all other African Leaders adhered to. Please revise your information fist before disseminating it.
Gadafi is crazy and don't care what to say or what to do. I have never seen ignorant and violent people as Libyans. His moron guard should be fucked up by Ugandan guards. Did they go their for fighting? loooool
This reflects the fact that African leaders worth nothing. Let alone administering this continent, they are not in a position to admitter their respective households. Sorry AFRICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
